Chasing a Source in the COnfiguration Panel (Layout)

Did something change in the Layout Editor when trying to view the Data source for a collection/list?

image

In this example if I select Q.Active-Targets the query that is driving the list from Layout Editor/Configuration Panel/Data/Source I go to the Data Editor BUT NOT to the Column like it did before. Now I have to scroll/search for the column. I have lots of columns (dozens/scores) plus complex queries (which I chase also).

Is this the expected behavior, a feature or do I need a setting update?

It doesn’t happen ALL the time - just some of the time. For example, most times when the source is ‘Territory’ table when I chase the Column via the circle-arrow (below)

I am taken to the Data Editor/Territory table but not to the column.

I assume this is a bug?

I logged out of the App builder but am now going to log out of GlideApps and retry.

Logged out and logged back in but I did not clear the browser cache.

Same issue occurs - chasing a Layout/Configuration/Data/Source leads to the table but not the column within the table - most the time but NOT ALL the time. Sometimes it works as expected.

Pretty sure this is a bug…unless this capability is going away.

Getting more info - if the Source is a Relation/Query AND it’s source is a Physical Table then the chasing the Data/Source ( the circle arrow) takes me to the column. In my example if my column’s source is a physical table then when I chase the source I go to the Column in the table.

However, if the “source” of the relation/query column is another relation/query column within the table then Glide is lost and I am taken to the table and not the column.

Fun info - in this example when I “chase” the source, the actual “resolving table” briefly appears in the data editor (for example Q.T.Meetings is a query in the Territory table that resolves to a Meeting table which I then use as the input to the ‘Q.Active Meetings’) .

In this example the Meetings table briefly flashes in the Data Editor before I am taken to the Territory table where the final query/column resides and Glide is lost (e.g. not taken to the column).

When I use a relation/query as the source for another relation/query in a Table; chasing a Glide source in the layout editor seems to get lost and does not resolve to the actual column but defaults to the table.

More clues, the mystery thickens: I have tested this in the ‘Search for usage’ and when I chase MY.T/T.Meetings I am taken to the table and not the column BUT when I am in the table and select MY.T/T.Meetings AGAIN - voila Glide finds/takes me to the column!
