Button bar disappears when the left button Link to Screen data is empty

The relation assigned to the left button is empty and this causing the whole button bar to disappear, therefore unable to execute the right button in order to add an item to the list.

Kind of unfortunate, but maybe you could work around it by creating a single button for the navigate to tab action, then only show the button bar if the relation is not empty, and only show the single button if the relation is empty.

I did think of that approach, but I do have some hesitation with the UX, with the location of the ‘add winery’ button changing unexpectedly on the user if I use that approach (I know it’s a little pedantic but I place a lot of importance on the UX when desiging an app).

I might give it a go as I am however tracking how far a user gets into this use case, if I see users not proceeding then I may switch it back.

thanks Jeff

Hey Rogelio you could try this workaround if you’d like.

Create a separate tab in your workbook solely for these buttons. Label them 1 & 2 or Left & Right and hard code any other information you need.

Back in Glide use an InlLine list w/ Style “Tiles” Shape 3:1 and x2 per row.
