Black screen when opening apps

Is there any update from the team on this one? Our tablets that are used on the production floor are not functioning due to this issue. can Run inside Chrome (not installed) temporarily, but this is hardly feasible.

Seeing this as well myself and with another user. So far swiping the app away to force close it and reopening has been working.

That hasn’t worked for me, I have tried:

Clearing chrome cache complete

Uninstall and Reinstall

Reboot Device

It seems that the only way it works so far is directly in Chrome with the link to the app, but that is also intermittent.

  • Blank White Screen and only the URL displays when opening app.
    Cannot share my app using the QR code, as it will not load in browser.
  • I see that other posters reports of this issue, has been merged into an old resolved topic of six years ago. THIS ISSUE IS NOT RESULVED, and is not necessisarly the same issue as six years ago. Don’t just write us off like that!
  • List the steps, in detail, for recreating the issue.

I’m not sure which topic you are referring to, but everything is being merged into the following topic, which Glide is aware of and has not yet been marked as solved.

Ok - Thanks Jeff as always. I am seeing the problem on Android phone, I’m not sure if iPhone users are experiencing the same problem. I know it’s working fine in both Chrome and Edge in Windows, but, the issue is with Smart Phones. Thanks.

A updated reply to my reply. So just to test I installed Edge on my Android. Pasted in the URL, and it loads fine, but the installed app is of course using Chrome, as are most of my users.

I am also experiencing the same problem. I’ve tried opening two different Glide apps on my android phone and they don’t load. I only get a blank screen. I can open them on my Windows desktop browser in Chrome though. My friend is also experiencing the same thing on an Android tablet. Thanks.

I wanted to let everyone know we’re aware of this issue. Based on what we’re seeing, it appears to be related to a recent Chrome update. We are working to find a solution.

I was able to solve it using the Brave browser instead of Chrome

I installed firefox during the interim here, and it seems to be working fine!
