App sometimes fails completely to load

Hi, Malcolm. I can tell you we’ve been experiencing the same issue as you with our clients’ apps when device connection speed is anything less than 15 Mbps. Anytime we’ve experienced the issue, two things are also true:

  1. If we swipe the app closed and re-open, the app opens up right away.
  2. If we try to open up any other app (e.g., Netflix, ESPN, or other similar graphic-intensive app), those other apps open on the same device without any issue or delay.

We’ve brought this to Glide’s attention and the others in this thread are voicing similar concerns. I will ping a couple of people at Glide here to see if there might be some increased interest in prioritizing this issue.

It would be helpful if you could chime in here and let us know if you get the same results as the points I mention above to confirm the issue is identical. Thanks, Gannon

Yes indeed, I have experienced exactly the same characteristics. In fact I have emailed all my user communities instructions on how to shut down the app and then re-open it (as per your point 1.) if they experience problems. Many thanks.
