Actions doesn't get triggered

Hello everyone,

I hope you’re having a wonderful day.

However, I created an action and I have to admit I thought it would get triggered like Zapier but it doesn’t.

Didn’t I miss something ?

What I’m trying to do :

When a new row is added to a table, those rows are also added to different tables.

Thanks for anyone helping me !

Actions need to be called by something to run. They are not automatic. Do you have that action assigned to a button for maybe a form On Submit action?

Can you also clarify what these add row actions mean in your flow? Usually I don’t see flows that add 2 rows to the same table like your screenshot.

Ah I understand ! Actually, what triggers the action is a form outside of glide

Sure - the whole purpose of the flow is :

  1. When a student of our online school fill a form
  2. The row get added on the Airtable table linked to a data table in glide
  3. Those row are then added into the “Users” Table so the user automatically added in the app
  4. The glide app that was created is a chat app, so the row are also added to in a table allowing the users to chat to another user

Is this form built inside your Glide app or not?

No, this is in another app. But now, I created a form inside Glide. Now, it should work! Currently testing

Glide actions cannot be triggered externally or automatically. They can only be triggered by the user doing something within the app that would call that action.
