Each tab was built from Details view with different components, but both have an image component and when I adjust the Image size or data source on one, it changes BOTH. This is not correct behavior, is it?
It’s correct I suppose. The data source for both the tabs remains the same.
No, but it’s built from a sheet called Blank - and it has multiple columns for data source. I believe I should be able to set a different source in that component on each tab…I’ve never run into this before.
@Jeff_Hager seems like one for you. Do you have the answer ready😜
@Deena before Jeff returns I will try do the answering. The detail page is tied to the sheet of the tab. This means that two tabs sharing same sheet will have same detail layout. This can be quite handy but often difficult to understand. I didn’t.
But you can make it independent when you link from an inline list to details view
Top level of a tab or link to screen button should be completely independent as far as design and layout. It’s when you get into sublevels, such as list item details, that the layout gets attached bro the sheet. At least this is how it’s always worked before. I would think that two tabs pointing to the same sheet should have independent layouts at that top level. Is it only the image component that is doing this?
Yep. So I think it’s a bug…
So I know that the details page of a list is always shared, but the details of you where you’re building a tab from scratch, even if it’s from the same sheet, Should not force a component to act like the same component in another tab…
So there is definitely something going on with the data editor. In addition to the component size changing on both tabs, one tab keeps changing the source for the image all by itself. It’s working at the moment. This is another issue that I’m seeing in the last days…sources changing/resetting, as well as display differences between what is in the editor and what is in the live app.
