Why can only a single user make an entry at a time and not two at a time?

I have a CRM that has 10 or so users.

When one user is entering in a new customer, Glide doesn’t allow another user to enter a different new customer at the same time.

Example:

  • User 1 entered John Doe at 12pm
  • User 2 attempted to enter Tom Smith at 12pm but was denied because User 1 was entering

Is that normal? If so, is there a workaround?

I would hope that this isn’t an issue because it seems like table stakes to be able to use the app at the same time regardless of the actions.

User 2 was denied in what way?
Did they get some sort of message?

No error message. The app simply doesn’t allow the other person to submit.

The user is filling out a form that is populating the database.

Something doesn’t sound right with your setup. Can you share more information regarding how your app works?

So they can open the form, and enter values. But they can’t submit because…?
The Submit button is disabled?
The Submit button is missing?
They click the Submit button and nothing happens?
Something else?

Please be specific. As Jeff said, something sounds off. In order to help you diagnose the issue, we need specific details.
