White screen of death editing Workflow

Anyone else had this happen?

Editing a workflow, a rather involved one with multiple conditions and steps, and 20 minutes in, the screen goes blank. Nothing helps but reloading the browser, and all the edits are gone.

Happened twice today on the same workflow :angry:

Is there any way to force the workflow to save? The ā€œDoneā€ button isnā€™t showing at that point.

Can you share a loom please?

I would if I knew when it was going to happen.

Open the dev tool with F12 key. Go to console. Refresh the page and check if there are errors when you try to reproduce the issue.

Tons of errors - what exactly am I supposed to be looking for? Not really experienced in dev tools.

Ok. When it happens, open up that Console and screenshot the error message!

Ok, a little different this time. Re-creating the same workflow, seemed to be going smoothly. It was still there when I shifted away and back. Did some work in the Data editor and got a message - couldnā€™t save column, Glide needs to close or something similar. I went to the console and copied, then checked the Workflow - once again, all the edits to that Workflow are gone!

Iā€™m going to stop trying with that workflow, create a new one, and submit a ticket.

You have no extension activated right?

Not sure exactly what you mean by activated, but yes, I do have extensions installed in my browser - Loom, password manager, etc. Was there a specific extension, or just anything?

Try to disable them all and check if it helps.

I have been getting a lot of false ā€œthis application is open in another tabā€ Thursday and Friday this week also, interrupting my work. Hasnā€™t happened in workflow editor but happens almost everywhere else.

Do you have other members who also edit the app with you?

I get that periodically and to answer Maximeā€™s question, Iā€™m the only member working on the app. It comes up when hereā€™s no other tab with the app open.

Working in an incognito window for the moment

No other members. I have another computer I use that is at home that sometimes has the app editing screen open when I grab my laptop, so I guess it would appear to Glide as the same IP, but definitely not the same session or device. Just now I got three forced refreshes, with that computer logged out and no active session, and 2 error messages repeatedly. The frequency of this has gone up since late Thursday.

Do you have internet connection issues? Can you try in another network?

Internet is good, ethernet connection. Itā€™s still a mystery how a workflow could be built up with many steps, and then just poof itā€™s gone. Itā€™s not like the old days when we have to hit Save every so often. What exactly was going on with Glide while I was building up the workflow?

Browser extensions, maybe. Itā€™s not like this happens all the time, just a really bad day last week.
