Good day Gliders. This week has been fraught with issues “beyond my ken” to misquote Sheldon. Since yesterday clients kept telling me their bookings are not showing up in ither the lst of their bookings or the bus schedules. I saw that the table entries were always missing a name.
So in the booking screen components there is a Name choice from a user profile relation column that shows the children’s names for that user. I had to do it that way to allow for user with more than 1 child on the bus. This is the only Required component. Theoretically, therefore, they cannot submit without a name being selected. What I found then is that if a user selects a name, then a choice for going home and/or back to school, and the de-selects the name, it will still submit.
Also, because the name choice is prepopulated, it is still possible to submit when not actually having selected a name but a home/school choice only. The entry is written but with no name and therefore not a single dependent calculated field.
Currently I have error messages that pop up if no home/school choice is made, but not for the name - just informational messages. I would like to let that part pop a bit, but you cannot put a container within a form container and a tab container does not seem like a solution. Maybe some CSS? I’ll see what I can find to change text colours etc.
Any ideas?
