I am planning to launch a app and sell it as a template.
Would like to know what are the things to look out for and provide.
I am referring to:
- Proper documentation. I am building a table within the app to provide instructions.
- Walk through instructional video
- Good sample data
- Name your components
- Column names that makes sense
- Not too many feature
- ?? If you are purchasing a template what are you looking for?

Take extra time developing good sample data, and make sure the database is organized in a logical way. The best way to show what an App can do is to have a robust sample data set. That is where most templates fall short, IMO. Pay particular attention to the relations, and normalize the tables as much as possible.
Also, do not try to put too many features in. A template is just that – a starting point for them. If there are too many features, they may end up spending time removing unnecessary stuff (and potentially breaking other stuff)
Good luck!

Awesome thanks! I will add to the list.
Also, naming the components and columns so it make sense.

I made a high quality template that makes up for a social media! It hasn’t been accepted though. Check this out:
Hi Ashton, you may want to consider the point above to add good sample data, what you have are the basic components which Glide AI can generate based on a prompt.
What is your value add and to make it unique/standout from the rest of the templates available in the store?
Hopefully with some more customisation your template will get a better chance of getting approved.
My wallpaper app has some social elements to it, feedback are welcome.

Or, I could add a short form video thingy to it! Any tips?
