Thx, getting this in front of the product team would be great. The floating button is super helpful from a UX perspective.
Not just me and @Jose_Ignacio looking for these, floating button style is in the Top 10 of most requested features:

If Glide’s goal is to create a billion new creators, then with these plan changes, they are causing that goal to fail miserably, as everything good they offer from a technical standpoint is being undermined by economic considerations. If they want to be massive and change the paradigm of software creation and democratize app development, this is not the way, simply because the majority of those individuals or small businesses won’t be able to afford that democratization and will continue to consume canned software (pre-made and reasonably priced) combined with the office or Google suite. That’s what I see in my day-to-day as a software developer.
Will the location component cost towards paid integration updates? or has it become a free component now in all plans ! has the time come where we can put this component on a screen and not worry the user keeps it on and consumes all our plan
No I do not, but I do know that companies either outsource the building of custom apps, where either the cost of their labor is built into their quote, or they hire an employee costing them $100K per year + benefits. So I still think paying $150 per month for custom software + whatever your professional rate is to build and maintain could still be a very good value proposition than what they are currently offering. Or its not and then obviously Glide + You would not be a good fit for them, their needs and their budget.
Agree, you need put a lot of time (=money) in Glide to be able to build whatever you want. I give a lot of courses and it’ not easy. It’s less difficult.
As long as it’s writing to a Glide table, I don’t think it will incur any updates. @NoCodeAndy … can you check on this?
Thank you for supporting this request; it will surely be done. The floating button is super useful in any application, providing quick access to functions. The tag on photos is also helpful to draw attention to a product in the collection. @gannonatwork @NoCodeAndy
One more thing.
I don’t see how to charge for use of Maker to customers.
For example, membership site with 2% available and 98% behind a paywall.
If a user signs up, say via stripe (without glide stripe integration) there’s no way to let my table know they’re now a paid user.
Hoping you update the zapier integration appropriately so info can be sent IN to Glide.
That direction is compatible with “internal business apps” and “1 billion creators”
This is so awful. I just spent all this time building an app that I was about to launch, and now this new pricing model disrupts everything about how my app would be used / is cost prohibitive and doesn’t feel worth it.
Curious to know what other platforms people are considering switching to with similar functionality to glide, but better pricing model?
Hi all, I hope to find an answer here.
The new plans have made me very anxious, as I built an MVP for an app that we only plan to fully launch and get users for.
With the changes to the plans, I have a question about the users and people who will use our app. Do we need to pay for every user who will use our app? If there will be hundreds, what can we do? It seems very expensive and not affordable for any type of builder who wants to validate ideas using Glide.
Of course, not everyone can buy an enterprise plan with unlimited users, as it requires time and deep confidence in the platform you build on. So now, I am very confused because of these changes and don’t understand if Glide’s changes have ruined every piece of work we’ve made without any chance to continue with this platform (which is bad because we are really very happy building our ideas faster here), or if there is a solution and a comprehensive explanation of what’s happening with this kind of work in Glide and the future for developers here.
Thanks, I hope to get feedback because, at the moment, it’s the most confusing thing in my life. @NoCodeAndy @david
Does anyone know when the changes will go into effect for users already on an old plan? I’m on the Starter Plan and need to know how much time I have to pivot. Thank you!
For the type of project, it would be recommended that you use the Make plan, it has free users.
It has been emphasized many times that teams and business is not an upgrade from maker. They cater to 2 different types of Glide user.
Seeing as that is the case. I think the integrations need to be re examined from the point of view that most non profits operate in a very similar manner to businesses. I do believe that’s why the old nonprofit was connected to the business plan. Since the other limits on the maker plan would hamstring any large nonprofit, it seems reasonable to ask that many, if not all, of the same integrations that are available to teams be made available to maker. And at least the basic api.
is Glide API not available on maker plan? i was planning to integrate external payment system for my ecommerce app
would love a confirmation on this… about to hand a project & would want to move the location component out of the edit form in order to allow users to scan quick items at a go.
If possible can the Glide team confirm that they are actively reviewing the new pricing for business plans, specifically all the negative feedback regarding the 20 user limit?
Please tell us if this is not the case and the new plans are locked.
I’d like to extend this question for both Team and Business plans. I’m still hoping that there’s some changes coming soon, since only the Maker plan has been discussed yet.
In my experience I fully agree - most people in the companies I’ve worked with are satisfied with just using Google Sheets or MS Excel for any type of project management. Bringing change to their behavior is a big ask even without pricing considerations.
This suggests you are on the Legacy Free plan. You can read more about it in Glide Docs.
