I agree, it makes sense on the Maker plan. I brought this up with the team earlier this week (among other community suggestions). Will let you know!
Thank you @david and Glide for making some steps our way.
The maker plan with a make/zapier integration (instead of Glide basic API) and gmail and push notifications alleviate many (of my) worries.
Another change we just rolled out:
File storage on Maker plans increased to 5GB
You should see this reflected on the pricing page soon.
I can’t and don’t speak for everyone but I must say that the new Free plan and the Maker plan with the proposed and implemented changes represents VALUE FOR MONEY…
I am in a country that is classified as “3rd world” so I fully understand the value of $60 on a monthly basis…
Thank you Glide for lending an ear to the community and hopefully those utilizing higher tier plans will have the same feeling when changes are finally implemented in the respective plans…
I am CONTENT and that is not an easy thing to accomplish …
Let’s “Make” software…
I’m glass half full and hope that the Glide team is discussing whether or not to revise the unpopular ’20 user limit’ for the business plan.
Hopefully not just for the Business plan but for the Team plan as well.
Benchmark regarding the “20 users limit”:
One of my prospect (90 employees) uses an eLearning SaaS which invoices 5$ /user/month.
Am I reasoning well? If I’d rebuilt this SaaS with Glide for my prospect:
- I would pay the Business Plan 5$ /user + the fix subscription
- eg. negative margin on my side.
If this is indeed the story, I don’t know how to make a living with this “20 users” limit from a Agency & freelance standpoint (even if there is the revenue sharing for 2 years).
One way to look at it is that they currently pay $450 per month for 90 users vs $250 base + $350 for the 70 users = $600 per month or $150 extra. But… you get custom software built and updated to their exact needs. Some might find value in $150/month custom app. Sounds like a good value to me
Go, Glide! Now we break it… We just need the analytics, and we’re all set. Thanks.
Hello,
Please correct me if I am wrong, are glide table rows and updates are unlimited across all plans?
No, they are not unlimited on all plans.
Thank you Darren. I didn’t realize the mention of rows at the bottom.
Do updates not count towards Glide Tables? It seems updates is for external source only.
Yes, that’s correct.
For the new plans, updates count for external data sources, most integrations, and Glide API usage.
Legacy plans are not affected by any of these changes.
Is there any possibility for (especially) the Google Calendar Integration and even the GMail Integration to be part of Maker just likeTeams?
The Calendar helps build community, which is the core of a non-profit.
Please consider the integrations with this in mind.
@NoCodeAndy Dear all, I would like to make another suggestion. The Make plan is fantastic, as I mentioned before. I asked if it would be possible to enable analytics since external usage requires some basic measurements. Now, upon further thought, it was noticed that when sharing the app screen, not a page (where the slug can be personalized), a long and confusing address is displayed, which doesn’t inspire much confidence. Are there any possibilities to adjust the SEO on the screens, for example, the shared image, title, description, something basic that shows, for instance, if we share a product, it appears with its image, title, and basic details? Is there any chance of achieving that?
Glide apps aren’t intended to be used as websites, so no, it’s not a priority.
@NoCodeAndy Is it reasonable to assume that big tables will be an optional upgrade for the maker plan one day?
yeah important
