Truncate Rich or Basic Text?

I recently found that I can truncate Text blocks, and it was really useful. Any chance that we’ll be able to truncate Rich or Basic Text blocks in the future?

Basic Text has a Trim to first 4 lines. Not as robust as basic text, but similar. I don’t see anything for Rich Text.

Would be very beneficial to have truncate option for rich text

I agree. Are you aware of any update on this feature request?

I haven’t tried but maybe it could work if you use the truncate plugin and then used the output of that plug-in in a template column. Finally use the template column in a rich text component.

For basic text you could probably just target the truncate plug-in directly and display your text.
