When a time picker uses scrolling instead of a clock on desktop, is that a Glide choice based on screen size, or something else? Here’s how it looks on my desktop. On a phone the time picker is a clock.
I rarely use the time picker. I just noticed am and pm
It would be nice if we could pick times on a 24-hour clock
It’s an international ISO standard, and it’s better UX by a long shot. It so happens that the am/pm UI is responsible for 1 million scheduling mistakes per day (please don’t quote me on that made-up number) whereas the 24-hour clock is responsible for exactly zero (because it’s very difficult to mistake 2:00 for 14:00).
Yes, just eliminate time zones, daylight saving, and date formats, and everything will be so much easier, LOL.
We should alway show time like this: 2025-04-30T18:07:00Z, next to the locale time.
We prefer the clock time picker as well so Glide…please DO NOT touch it on mobile devices. It’s much faster to set the time. I concur that a 24 hour option for our international developers is long overdue, but here in the US, the 12 hour clock works just fine in the interface.
Also note: That when you make UI changes like this, we have to retrain Users who are used to updating the time in their apps the original way. Since we create event apps, our Agendas need to be able to be updated on the fly by the team in near real-time during events!
Why don’t we just get the option to choose if we want the clock or the scrolling style? Also, it would be cool if we could choose whether we wanted 12 or 24 hour time - since different people have different preferences on these things
