Does anyone know why the signed-in user would be grayed out under Filter?

I meant under FEATURES and not Filter
You probably have the app set to “Public” without email. Or switched from Public with email to public without.
I’ve found their new upgrade that allow filters to work by in-sheet variables to work well. So, you can select user email from the top then select is user email from within in the sheet being filtered from.
