'Show Filter' option doesn't appear when adding a collection component

Was this feature removed?

When I add a collection component the “show filter” option does not display under the “show search bar” switch. But for some reason I was able to see it a few weeks ago when I created the app. Even more bizarrely when I duplicate a component from the past I can see the “show filter” but after selecting the " - " option in the filter I cannot get it to return.

You can tell from the video clip that I can duplicate it but for some strange reason cannot create it anew.

I think its because ‘show filter’ has been replaced by the new in-app filter. Older versions of the component appear to still have ‘show filter’. That seems to go away if you select “-“

Possibly one day they will remove it altogether

I hope that’s not true because the in-app filter doesn’t provide automatic summaries and it would be a disaster.

summaries like the previous filter did.

Well I think it’s the case… at least that’s how it works for me.

You could copy an old component or do a rollup + template with the new one.

This is correct.

This is also true.

@tristan @Ivo_Elbert Any chance we can once again display the total item count after filtering? This was a nice feature.

@tristan @Ivo_Elbert Please restore automatic summaries in the new built-in filters.

Btw @Robert_Petitto Your tutorials are excellent and very much appreciated.

Appreciate the kind words. Let me know what content you’d like to see!

The community did ask for multiple in-app filters for a long time, so this is a step in the right direction. Just need to have the numbers back and it would be even better.
