Hi,
Can a search bar search for computed columns like look up in the table? If not, would there be a good work around?
Hi,

You mean, something like that ?
You can use any columns you want in this search bar. As long as you set these columns in the queries.
Would simply including the value of the lookup (assuming it’s a single lookup) in the details screen of the object make it searchable?
These look up fields are already existing columns in the new table version. Table is Big table. I remember it worked before. We have disabled an enabled the search bar already without success.
It’s possible to get from a computed search bar a response as choice ship mode to pick some content ?
I’m not sure I understand what you mean. Can you write it in your own language?
It’s like this post at bottom. @Petitto
I lovely be able to help my users in a complex search action, when he types in the searching box open a list of hierarchical choices as chips (or image, text) or pointing to a table to filter with image, text.
The automatic filter is reducing the scope but in one complex solution is not enough.
Thanks
Nope, you can’t do it with the native search bar now.
Depends on what you want to do, you might be able to setup some kind of custom search that returns a list of items that you can display in a collection.
Did you try the template ? Is this working with your use case ?
Great to see others take over the thread… however, @ThinhDinh can you confirm the computed columns should be searchable when:
Please let me know, so I can take further steps with support.
Thanks!
I don’t have exact information on that, but granted on how limited Big Tables is when it comes to computed columns, I’d be surprise if it’s searchable.
Can you tell me if this solution here work for youe use case? How to search multiple tables (template)
You can enable the more computed columns for big table in the team settings → preview features.
