Can some one put my out of my misery and explain what these two sets of columns are. What is their purpose and how do I use them (scenarios).
I use the special values on a regular basis, but have not figured these out.
They’re actually really useful! There are used when you are submitting an edit screen, add screen or form screen. Use them to send values in the background from your current context so that way your users don’t have to enter in those items redundantly. For example, if you are adding new records for recipes and you are already inside of a pastry category, when submitting the form you can pass the value of screen>category (result=“pastry”) into the resulting category column, without the user needing to type it in manually.
