Every time I click on the option, it makes the project private
Is this an App or a Classic App?

Okay, and you are saying that when you change to Required Sign-in, the App automatically switches to Private?
The only way I’ve been able to replicate that is as follows:
- Make sign in optional, then
- Restrict who can sign in by selecting the Users in the user table option
- Make sign in required
Doing it in the above sequence does result in the App switching to private, but that is expected behaviour. Because once you make sign in required and restrict who can sign in, then by definition all users become private. And so the App is private.
Bottom line is that if you want your App to remain Public but make sign in required, then you must allow Anyone to sign in.
