Push notifications don't work

All in all, how about you try turning off the beta entirely? See if it works.

Already done.
Basically, I have an app I created six months ago that still has its notifications. Two others created 1 month and 1 week ago where notifications don’t work anymore (for the one from a week ago, it never worked).
I’ve already deactivated, reactivated, removed, reinstated, …

Nothing changes

I’ve even tried to remove the notifications from the first one and put them on the last one, but it doesn’t work.

It sounds a little strange, working on an app for 3 monthes. No issues about notifications, unless with Pdfmonkey (time to generate request is quite slow).

Can you elaborate more on what you use in a different way from usual production?

It needs to be reminded push notifications depends highly on OS, and user settings on smartphone.

I finally figured out the bug with the push notifications, and it’s working again! I’m so happy! Here’s what I did: I enabled notifications in the app builder, which I think had revoked all notifications initially. To fix it, you need to clear your browser history completely, and then it should work again.

I don’t think you did anything on your end. My app notifications started working yesterday afternoon, and I have not changed anything or cleared browser history, etc. I think someone on the Glide team made changes.

I reported the bug to support, and they escalated the issue once I identified the cause. I tested it again and encountered the same problem, but clearing the history fixed it. So, does it really matter now that it’s resolved?

Are they still working for you? I for the life of me can’t figure out how to get the push notifications to work.

It’s not an iOS or Android issue. I’ve tested push notification on other PWAs and they work fine. Hopefully Glide invests in infrastructure to get this working consistently. It’s not summer 2023 anymore, push notifs on PWAs aren’t in their infancy anymore- they work flawlessly if setup correctly.

Progressier.com let’s you test push notifs on PWA and they work perfectly

I totally agree and funny thing is I said similar Push notifications don't work - #11 by Willow

They need to bite the bullet and use a third party like progressier.com. Progressier integrates with Shopify, Softr, Squarespace, Wix, Wordpress etc for push notifications on PWAs… Hopefully Glide is next up to leverage their services.

They also provide metrics into your push notifications and performance

as of today push notifications are not working, at least for me, an experts said to me that they turned it beta due to bugs
