Hi, I’m trying to configure a category separation action, and I can’t. It’s like the system is stuck; it’s not loading the label according to my Excel format.
Could you please help me? I don’t know how to fix it.

Is that screen connected to an existing row? If you are filtering the menu detail screen or it’s not connected to a row for some other reason, that can cause components to be hidden if they are referring to columns in that menu table, because there is no associated row for the components read or write values. The other thing to check is if you have a visibility condition on the choice component. It’s possible that you could have a condition that hides the component.
A separate word of advice…If that choice component is going to be used by multiple people at the same time, I would make sure to use a user specific column to store the selected choice instead of a column from your spreadsheet. Otherwise it’s going to be a terrible experience for the users when everyone else is changing their selection.
What type of “separation” do you want here? What’s the ideal front end that you want? Do you mean you want to show a list of categories, and under each category a list of products?
I want to make each category display a specific number of products, sorted by category. But I want to make it so that when I select a category (there are 8 categories in total), I only see the products within that category. Is that possible?
When you display a collection, have you gone to the options tab (on the right) and configured the in-app filter (applied to the column with your categories)?
I was able to fix that problem; I don’t know what I did, but it’s fixed now. Now I have another problem. They tell me that the purpose of all this is to create a sort of shopping cart for orders, but using formulas in Glide, it adds up everything that’s pending, and I don’t want that. They tell me to add a filter to the order total.
It’s best to open a new topic then.
Who’s “they"? But okay ![]()
Rather than set the filter in the layout editor, you probably need to filter in the data editor. You can set filters in the query column.
Buenas,
Has considerado utilizar las tablas nativas de Glide?
I performed the multiplication by items and the total sum using the Glide data.
