Can Glide support pivot tables and that functionality in their GlideTables feature, or if I need pivot tables in my spreadsheets would I need to connect my GoogleSpreadsheet to GlideTables and have it be constantly updating?
Although Pivot Tables aren’t directly available in Glide Tables, but we can create that functionality. What do you want to use Pivot Tables for?
Functionality is pretty simple, would need to organize a data list that consists of items and scores, and find average scores for unique items and then rank them.

I have some old APPs working with Pivot Tables from GS and those work well so far.
Try to replicate their functionality and make it simple in Glide is hard so, I left my PTs in my GS and read them manually when the APP is loaded or a button is clicked on.
Daily, one of my PTs receives 60-80 new values and the user opens my APP 5-8 times with no problem since 2022.

A variation of this would be applicable to you.
Basically you rollup on top of the relations to same-category items, and then find the first rowID from that same-category list to filter and only show that on the front end (so there are no duplicates).

Thanks all for the help - I have figured out the ranking portion, but still struggling on how to find and compute the unique averages. Essentially I have 2 variables with different scores, and want to find the average score for each unique combination of variables.
Ive attached a photo, and basically want to compute a unique average for the AX and the CX combination, and so forth.
If you create a query column linking to all rows in the table to both variables in the same row, then you can do a Rollup on top of that query.
