The Math Column now supports many more functions such as TRUNC, ASIN, COS, ROUND & MOD.
We, therefore, did the sensible thing and rounded down all the birthdates in our employee directory so everyone’s much younger!
Wonderful! @JackVaughan!
@JackVaughan thanks to you & the Glide Team!
Thank you so much for this
Wow, good job
thank you for the update
Gideon
This is great, thanks !
Great work! Glide keeps getting better and better.
Fab work @JackVaughan . Thanks. Are you also planing on DAY, MONTH and YEAR to split out components of a DATE column? That would also be amazing and timely.
Yeah for MOD!!! Now we can do rankings natively in Glide!
Sorry, I only know a few of those nominations…
Can anyone translate them for those who also don’t know?
Sure. I’m guessing:
TRUNC - truncates to a specific number of digits
ASIN - inverse sine (trigonometric function for engineering etc)
COS - cosine (per ASIN)
ROUND - rounds to a specific number of digits (as opposed to truncating)
MOD - gives the remainder of a division
Thank you so much man!
How do you suppose to do it, Bob?
Ahh man, but it was so much fun to try to figure out how to accomplish TRUNC functionality in glide with less than 10 columns. Guess we’ll do it the easy way now. And no more templates to “lock in” rounding with ROUND. I also currently use CEILING in my sheet, so that can be converted.
Great work team!!
@JackVaughan can you specify each of those nominations in Glide Library’s page as I asked here? I think it’s important to have it.
Gr. I can’t find it now. I had the formula bookmarked. I’ll try to find it and share.
Awesome! Looking forward to what you guys build with this, since I actually didn’t pass my college math tests and had someone do then for me, so I’ve no idea what all of this formulas mean!
I hope you passed your Experts test legitimately @eltintero
