My App is on the Appstore without third parties!

Hello everyone,

My app is currently available only on the Play Store. I’ve encountered difficulties in getting it listed on the App Store due to some internal security issues that Apple has rejected, but I handled the entire submission process myself, without any third-party involvement.

Distributing on Amazon is new to me, but I am definitely going to pursue it. On the Play Store, we are nearing 10,000 downloads.

This is my first time posting here, so I would like to share some thoughts. Glide is a powerful tool; I’ve built a digital service platform with over 1,000 registered service providers across Portugal. We now have 7 employees, and many families rely on our business. I strongly disagree with the notion that it is meant for internal company use only; this is something I suggest you reconsider. You might be missing out on a significant portion of the B2C market.

  • I miss having multiple language options on the platform.
  • I miss having new collection components with fresh functionalities.
  • I miss having some more animated visual effects (nothing too flashy, just something simple).
  • I miss having a login with username and password for the user.
  • I also feel the absence of a cookie consent pop-up, which is crucial even if the focus is on internal processes and business uses. Adding such a feature shouldn’t be too complicated.

A bit about myself: I am Brazilian, living in Portugal, and I am the creator and developer of this app in both Portugal and the USA. You can find me on LinkedIn under Wessley Silva.

I’m willing to share how I managed to get the app on the Play Store and Amazon without involving third parties.

Check out our platform on the Play Store at ENCONTREAQUI.PT or on the web at https://app.encontreaqui.pt.

I can’t see one reason why Glide apps should be internal. We have a consumer app built in Glide, complete with payments, etc.

Couldn’t be happier.

At the end of the day, I think one key point is how you see Glide’s pricing. If it brings more value to you than it costs, then it’s great. I think many people around here haven’t got to that stage, but happy to hear it’s working nicely for you.

Agree with everything. I really like the #glidebeyondbusiness hashtag that I came up with because it boasts that Glide could be more. So glad that Amazon can help your business! Can you post the link in this topic later so I can check it out? (You totally don’t have to. I have a Fire Tablet that I would love to test it on for you)

Cool! What does it do?

Looks AMAZING on both fronts! I’ll have to check it out.

It primarily displays local information like sports orgs, services, small businesses, events, etc.

That sounds kind of like my app. Cool!
