More options to adjust image size

Small feature request :hugs:

I would love to have more flexibility to adjust image size (without cropping images) in Pages.
I have an app that displays signatures, and they show up as either HUUUGE or cropped, unless I create columns inside the container (which is not always preferable).

Agreed.

Yes would be great to have some sort of editing to an image within Glide - size, opacity, etc. Carrd has a great flow for this where they allow you to edit before final upload.

It would be nice to have one or two more size options for images.

Images
Current options (2024-10): Full / Small
which can be either too big or too small.

Text (by way of comparison)
3 normal, 5 bold, 2 special

Agreed. It’s very basic in the Glide UI just to have two options of image size

Recently I’ve been using the custom component to “enhance” the image component. I add the custom component, tie it to the image, prompt basically the same thing every time “Display the image fully both on mobile and desktop. No cropping, no border, no padding, no margin”, and I get a better image.

The custom component will render a crisper image with no rounded corners than the native image component.

Then I usually prompt things like “Same size on mobile, 20% smaller on desktop”, and iterate until I get the size I want.

Wish regarding the native image component

  1. That at the very least the rendering of the image with the native image component were of high quality.
  2. That we have a few more options to control the size: xsmall, small, medium, large, xlarge, full (something like that), again using the native image component.
  3. Again using the native image component : no cropping of the actual image through cropping or rounded corners.
