I am developing a POS app for an event at a convention center. Internet access there is very limited and they offer plans for a dedicated link for the event (NOTE: There would be a maximum of 10 people connected to this network).
Which alternative is sufficient to run Glide without problems? 5, 10, 15 or 20Mb? Any suggestions?
Do you need to upload files in the app?
Hereβs a nice chart that I found:
Purpose |
Recommended speed per instance |
Web browsing |
3β5 Mbps |
Email |
1β2 Mbps |
Music streaming |
1β2 Mbps |
Checking social media |
3β10 Mbps |
Video streaming |
5β25 Mbps |
Video conferencing |
5β10 Mbps |
Online gaming |
5β25 Mbps |
Smart home devices |
1-10 Mbps |
So if you have 10 people on the app at the same time, knowing that some people might have other tasks running in background, you might want to have between 15 and 50. I suggest you to get a 15Mbps and look out it goes.
