We finally got the Sign in button! Hooray! But have you gliders considered of adding a logout button? Or maybe, there’s one button but it what it does varies on if the user’s signed in or not. For example, If the user is logged in, clicking the button logs them out. If the user is logged out, clicking the button logs them in.

I was just about to request the same, so I am supporting your request. A Sign Out option would be very useful. Use case: I supply tablets to cafe staff to take orders. Kitchen wants to know who is taking the order (in case they have a question) so we have them log in with their email and match that to their name in the User table. So, at the end of the shift I want them to sign out so that the next person who picks up the tablet has to log in which Right now its like a 3 button process (press hamburger, press your profile, press sign out). A one button solution would be nice.

The login action exists, it feels natural the logout action would too. Voted.
What you could do as a temporary workaround, is add the app to the Home Screen of the tablet multiple times and name each one according to the person that will be using it. Then they only have to click the icon with their name under it to be logged in immediately.

Interesting idea. Will test. Thanks
Hi JB,
Unfortunately the Amazon Fire tablets I am using do not let you store the app on the home screen, only in the Silk Browser itself, and this browser will not store different logins for the same application URL. The explanation given is that browsers typically store login information and sessions in the same local data (cookies/cache), which means logging into a second account will overwrite the session for the first. I know the limitation also exists for Chrome, but I have not explored if this changes if you store the app on the desktop. So, from my quick examination of this it does not appear to be readily doable. I appreciate the effort anyway. Thanks.
My experience is with iPads, so it might be something OS-specific. Did some Googling, apparently it’s indeed a limitation on the Amazon Fire tablets. I suggest buying a different tablet

I’m actually not getting any push back on the sign in requirement. It’s fairly quick and easy. There are several other UI/UX issues which are of greater concern. The other consideration is cost. I think I am paying around £40 for an Amazon Fire tablet (I only need the browser) vs £330 for an iPad
Ah sure thing, totally understand. A good example of best practice considering circumstances.
As for the UI/UX issues, I suggest making a list and posting it in this forum, we might be able to help you out with a couple things
