Hi everyone! I’m exploring whether Glide can support a dashboard layout similar to the one I’ve mocked up. It includes:
• Key metrics at the top (e.g., total revenue, new subscriptions, new orders, average order value)
• A sidebar with navigation links (Docs, Campaigns, Support, etc.)
• A section for recent campaigns, categorized into Draft, In Progress, and Archived—with platform tags, titles, dates, and last updated info
I’d love to know:
• Can Glide handle this kind of layout and data structure?
• Are there any best practices or templates you’d recommend?
• Would this require Glide Pages or can it be done in Apps?
Thanks in advance—keen to hear what’s possible!
I’d say yes. Maybe not 100% visually, but you could definitely get close. To maintain the same visual look of each component, you may need to explore the Custom AI component. For a three column structure, I would use a Container component with a 3 column layout style.
Definitely possible with the AI component or various mixed native components.
That’s a built in feature already. In your app settings you can control if the navigation bar is on top or on the side.
Again, it depends on the exact look, but you could use something like the Kanban component which is basic but would give the same feel, or custom collection components with the AI component or various other components inside of it. Might not be able to achieve the same 3 column style with a custom component though because you can’t place custom collections inside if a container.
Pages are Apps. Pages was the old name for the current infrastructure that was first introduced as an alternative to Classic apps several years ago. Classic apps have been completely deprecated, so there is only one product, which is called Apps.
