Integrating Outlook when 2 factor authentication is on

Hello there,

Happy Monday!

I have a situation where I need to send automated emails based on some user action. It needs to be sent using a Microsoft email id that has 2 factor authentication. I actually need to do it in Zapier. But I first tried integrating Outlook in my Glide app to ensure it can be connected.

When I give my credentials, it asks for a 6 digit code on my mobile. When I go to my Microsoft Autheticator app and try adding an account, I get the same screen that asks for a 6 digit code. It’s like a chicken and egg problem.

Two questions here:

  1. Can I use an email id in Glide/Zapier that has 2FA enabled to send emails through Glide actions or Zap in first place?
  2. Anyone here integrated Outlook id that has 2FA, can you share how you did the same?

Disclaimer: I don’t have any experience with Outlook.

Can you confirm you have followed the steps in the “Adding and Configuring the Action” section here?

Yes I did @ThinhDinh . I’m able to connect my personal account as it does not have 2FA. But the actual client account is 2FA enabled, this is where I’m getting stuck.
