Hello everyone,
I have an app based on Google Sheets, but after the new pricing update, I’ve lost autosyncing on the free plan.
I’m wondering if it’s possible to manually sync the table using a workflow or an action.
If that’s not possible, I’d like to automate my sheet/table using a workflow.
In that case, how can I edit all the cells in a column using a workflow?
Nope, sadly auto-syncing your Google Sheet isn’t available on the free plan anymore — it’s only included with paid plans now. Your best bet is to switch to a native Glide Table instead. On the free plan, you can still import your Google Sheet, but it won’t stay in sync when you make changes unless you’re on a paid plan.
I did this, it worked very well until I had a lot of rows(+2000), then it started failing.
Refresh is just a sheet, and I added a row each time I want to refresh.
Hope it helps you.
What is that even for? Seems confusing to me
Glide sync the data automatically if a row has been added/deleted,
so I created a sheet in Google Sheets called it refresh, and whenever I need a sync it just adds a new row to that table/sheet, so.. it will do my action/workflow and after its done it will add a row to the refresh table which will make it sync, I hope that I made sense..
Yes but it will not sync the data to your Google Sheet unless you have a paid plan (it used to be free), which is what they wanted to do.
oh, yeah ur right, I’m on a paid plan but I just noticed that he is on the free plan
Legacy Free plans can still use Google Sheets, but auto syncing was disabled a few months back on those older free plans. So I think your idea for forcing a sync may still work, but I haven’t tried to know for sure.
