Data writes to Glide Table but never syncs to Google Sheet (Free Plan)

Hello everyone,

I’m facing a sync issue with a specific table and would appreciate any help.

My setup:

  • I am on the Free plan.
  • My data source is a single Google Sheet with multiple tabs (Products, Categories, Cart).

The Problem: My Products and Categories tabs seem to work fine. However, my Cart table is not syncing correctly.

I have an “Add to Cart” button in my app. When a user clicks it, the Add Row action works perfectly, and the new row appears instantly in the Glide Data Editor for the Cart table.

However, this new data never appears in the connected Google Sheet. I have rows in the Glide Data Editor that are over two days old, and the Google Sheet tab is still empty. This is not a delay, the sync seems to be completely broken for this one table.

What I have tried:

  • I have double-checked that all column names in Glide and Google Sheets match exactly (case-sensitive).
  • I have checked the Settings > Data panel, but there is no manual sync/refresh button on the Free plan.

Is this a known bug? Is there a way to re-establish the connection for a specific table? Or is the ability for actions to write back to Google Sheets now a paid feature?

Thank you for your help!

You seem to be on a legacy free plan.

As of December 18, 2024, Glide’s legacy free plans will no longer sync with external data sources such as Google Sheets, Airtable, and Excel. While existing apps will continue to function, new data changes will not be synced between services anymore.

Google Sheets is available starting with the Maker plan. Glide discontinued Google Sheets sync for legacy plans some time ago.

Like I said in your previous thread, those are Glide tables. The table icons in your screenshot very clearing indicate that they are glide tables and not google sheet tables. Glide tables stand on their own and will never sync with a google sheet. You Imported data from a google sheet to create a glide table. You did not connect a google sheet as a data source. You need a Maker plan at minimum to be able to connect and sync with a google sheet. The Free plan can only import data once.

These are Glide Table icons. They are not google sheet icons.

Google sheet icons are green and have a different logo in the lower left corner.
