How to delete an array column

How do I delete an array column that I set up in the Data Editor. The original array I made in the Google Sheet. Thought deleting those columns would remove the array in the Data Editor. That didn’t work so I made another array in the Data Editor. Now I want to delete both of them and use a 3rd one that I got set up the way I want but I can’t see how to remove the unwanted array columns, only option is to “make owner”

Ok, I figured it out. I closed the Google Sheet and reopened and some time later the array columns made in the Data Editor appeared in the Google Sheet. Delete those and then the array columns went away in the Data Editor— I guess it was an issue of either needing to refresh the Google Sheet or a long time delay in the system.

deleting it from the google sheet, does work. Like you said. but there is no actual delete option or even an edit option in the glide app itself. Is there a reason for that? also, is there a way to manually make the array? Glide automatically make my columns an array when they are numbered consecutively. Is there a way to stop that?

Glide will only do that if the Spreadsheet columns are numbered consecutively and arranged in order one after the other. If you don’t want Glide to treat them as an array column, then all you need to do is separate them in the Google Sheet.

Just as an aside, if you have numbered columns that you don’t want to be treated as an array, that’s generally a sign that your data structure may need some re-thinking.

Couple of ways:

  1. Don’t have the gsheet columns directly next to each other
  2. Don’t use the number 1 is the first column (eg columns = Photo | Photo 2 | Photo 3)
  3. Use letters instead of numbers (A, B instead of 1, 2)
