How can I submit a fixed text entry in a form?

I have started to use forms. I realize I can automatically add elements like Signature, date/time… But I would like to automatically enter a category identifier (one word into a column called category) once the form is submitted. The user should not have to specify the category identifier, Any tips?

My workaround is to show a choice component with the default set to the category identifier, but this is obviously not ideal…

Thanks in advance for any pointers.

You can select items from screen columns or user columns which will be added automatically. I believe that’s what you mean
