Glide outage? Unable to log into apps

We’re back!!!

But, unfortunately very slow to open the APPs !!!

Still not resolved for me - seems variable.

same here

For those users who are in our apps I am seeing weird issues like forms not submitting data to the Google Sheet rows. Maybe some of the functionality was taken offline to work on the fix?

We are still seeing some connection issues, and are troubleshooting now.

I had this issue earlier this morning trying to sign in from a new device. A device that was already logged in was able to access the app fine. Might be a fluke or timing issue but I’m in from both devices as of now.

David will you be posting here when it looks like everything has been resolved?

Yep

Anyone else seeing weird stuff going on in the builder since the outage earlier?

For the past few hours, I’ve been fighting:

  • Tables in the builder with some/all spreadsheet data missing (but computed columns are still showing data)
  • Components losing their configuration
  • Columns that I’ve deleted mysteriously re-appearing several minutes to an hour or more later
  • Columns randomly losing their configuration

Feels like I’m playing an endless game of whack-a-mole :confounded:

@mark or @George_B if you want to take a look at my app, here’s the support link:

https://go.glideapps.com/support/b891bcc6-5e05-4ecc-8a97-bcb4b9d39ccc

The two tables that have been giving me the most grief are called “Devices” and “Screenings” (both are based on GSheets that are an IMPORTRANGE from another spreadsheet - maybe that has something to do with it?)

Yes I saw all of this sort of weird stuff. But that said I think it was related to the connection issues. A change would be made, it would go into some kind of queue (usually that queue would process immediately so we may not even be aware it existed) and then because of the connection issues would appear as if the change was made on the UI side but the queue actually hadn’t processed it.

Then when the connection was restored all of these queued changes would show up all at once. And depending on if those items were intended to be processed one at a time vs. in batch it could cause a lot of unintended results.

Overall I think things should be working normally based on what I see in my apps and the status update here: Glide Status (glideapps.com)

But you probably need to go back and test / fix anything that needs updating and you can probably be pretty confident that it will be stable moving forward and it was the changes occurring in the last 6ish hours or so that were less stable.

Everything has returned to normal.

Thank you. Yes, what you described is consistent with the behaviour and symptoms I was seeing.

Yes, I did have to reconfigure a bunch of columns and components this morning (for the umpteenth time), but at least now the changes appear to be sticking (touch wood). So I assume that was just a final hangover from last night.

A somewhat serendipitous side-effect of all this is that (for the affected tables) all my spreadsheet columns have been pushed to the end of the column list, with the computed columns now appearing at the front. Which is handy, because it’s the computed columns I’m more likely to be fiddling with. So I guess every cloud has a silver lining

Hi, I’m still having issue with my layout of pages resetting. I have customized a layout of an inline list, after I reload or signout signin from glide the layout is resetting. I have changed this twice now :frowning:
My users can’t use the app in the meantime.

Also I can’t create a custom event on buttons. My workflow relies on this custom action. I can’t save the custom action.

This is my app: Glide

Is this related to the outage?

Thanks

The saving custom events issue is resolved now. It was just really slow and I needed to refresh
