Glide Airtable Add Row User Column Issu

Hi Everyone, I have two tables called “Journal” and “Log” along with the “Users” table and the data comes from Airtable. Both the “Journal” and “Log” field have relation field called “User” that is synced in both the glide data tables. But when I try to add a row in the tables the User field behaves differently, one gives me the option has the User Profile option available but the other one just gives me the relation “User” as shown in the screenshots. Am I missing something here? Please let me know if anyone can help me. Thanks

This happens because only one table is properly linked to the User Profiles configuration while the other is still just a relation field. To fix it, make sure the correct table is set as your User Profiles table in settings, and then map the relation fields accordingly. Once that’s done, the “User Profile” option will show consistently.

If you’d like, I can help configure this for you so both tables work seamlessly with your Users setup.

Hi @Theo_Phyl, thank you for the reply. By “settings” do you mean the setting on glide?

@Theo_Phyl the User fields in both the tables comes from the “User” relation field in Airtable.

Yes, exactly I was referring to the Glide app settings where you define your User Profiles table. Even though both “Journal” and “Log” pull the User relation from Airtable, only the table you’ve set as the official User Profiles source in Glide will expose the “User Profile” option

To make it consistent, double-check that your Users table is properly configured as the User Profiles table in Glide settings, then reconnect the relation fields in “Journal” and “Log.” That way both will recognize the User Profile properly.

Would you like me to walk you through the exact steps inside Glide so you can test it quickly?

How are you configuring those User columns in Airtable? Do you have the same single/multiple match set up on the Airtable side?

Hi @ThinhDinh, thank you for the help. Yes the problem was with the user table. Thank you for the help

@Theo_Phyl thank you for the help

Great to hear! What specific problem was with the User table, can you clarify for the people who find this later?

Yes. One of the table’s relation field was missing from the user tables. I relinked the User Profile tables and replaced the old one with the new which resolved the issue.
