Ya…I need to do a re-reboot now that Classic Apps aren’t available to new Glide users.

What will happen to the current app once it gets released? Will it work in a production environment? There was a floating button, and I added a regular button that I think did the same thing, for example.

What do you mean by ā€œcurrent appā€ and ā€œreleasedā€? If you’re building on the new Glide Apps everything should be fine. Classic Apps and new Glide Apps are 2 different products.

The app I was gifted as a model was a Classic app. How should I go about converting it?

How can I convert what you gave me from Classic? You would know best because you know how you constructed it in the first place.

There’s no way to just convert it…it will need to be rebuilt.

What are the big differences I should look for?
What process should I use for rebuilding? Suggestions?
I am very willing to start small, then add layers like you did in the tutorials.
For now, I’m good with no store or inventories (because I think I am going to aim for physical cards). Boss battles can wait, too.

As an aside, I had a chat with my administrator today about FERPA issues in the US, and we decided that XP (my grade-related points) needed to stay private to each player. Player level was debatable. Leaderboards may only be able to show like top 5 (and that may need parental permission). We did decide that team XP was blurry enough to allow to be known without breaking it down by player. Where we got stuck was how to communicate progress to parents via our LMS, since I am allowing choice of assignments and all do not need to be complete to meet the ā€œlevel upā€ goals that will turn into letter grades. Parents will flip when they see their kids’ grades start with zeros and only gradually rise throughout the quarter.
