Entire List Disappear When Using Search Bar

I noticed that this issue was once happened (Refer to this Thread: Entire list AND search bar disappear when using search bar), and now I’m facing it across all of the apps that I’ve built.

Issue:

  • Every time my end-users try to search for something through the search bar on the Table Collection, the search bar and the list is disappeared. (The page remains there)
  • This is happening across all of the Table Collection that I had on this specific App
  • I’ve tried to refresh the data-source and web page, but didn’t fix anything.

Anyone find a solution?

[UPDATE | 26 June 2024]

  • I got in-touch with one of the Tech Ops / Support from Glide, and now He has escalated the issue to the engineering team for resolution.
  • I tried to change the Data Style from Table to Data Grid, and it worked. So, I guess it can be a temporary fix for everyone that experiencing this

We’ve experienced this before, we implemented a separate text entry field on the page which was used to filter the table data.

Shortly after that the table search was fixed.

We are now having the same issue again, just today. Seems to be a bug.

In your screen record, the search bar doesn’t disappear though. Do I understand it correctly that the problem is the search not returning the correct rows?

I have support looking into this as well, it is only when using the new tables component search, they’ve identified an issue and are working on a fix.

Hi there, sorry for the late response

I experienced two different issues (which I thought related at first).

  1. The entire list disappeared but the search bar remained (as per screen-recording above)

Hi there,

Thanks for raising this to the support team as well! I tried to change the Data Style from Table to Data Grid, and the search bar is working again. So, I guess it can be a temporary fix for everyone that experiencing this

That’s good news, hopefully there’s a fix or update soon. Causing havoc for some clients. :exploding_head:

update: Currently search is working with the new table component in the editor but not yet in the production app

Experiencing same issue on production app when searching in the native search box on the table component
