Do they ? But works like zoom ! I didn’t know that. I just tested the two on this thread. Both are cool . Get the job done, but just that mixily without the html embed doesn’t have that “at home” factor. You can tell it’s in open web view whereas with the other one, provided you have jistsi on your phone, it’s really hard to figure out (unless a developer) that it’s a third party integration.
Wow there is a cake
. So I joined on 28 March- wow !
Does that mean I’ve passed the test. I’m now part of the glide gang
happy cake day, buddy!!!
Thank you buddy !!!
It’s always good to have options!
haha, most people dont have Jitsi on their phone
Very true. This a where mixily is the ideal solution. To be honest I wanted mixily (it’s a bit like riot). But only problem is once set to open web view, the whole website is in view. They have not added the plug-in for embedding targeted zooms. They only offer html embed of the chat screen (which is what we need); no iframe either, sadly. But iframes I’m sure don’t work on glide. So wouldn’t make any difference
There can only be one winner, if that is Jitsi, let it be Jitsi
And a bonus URL - https://meet.jit.si/ROWID#userInfo.displayName="name"&userInfo.email="EMAIL"
put this into a template column:
- RowId - gives you a unique URL
- name - fills in the username so the user does not need to add anything
- email adds that too (not sure where it sits, but somewhere!)
For my app I now have…
This is the ‘agent’ side (I have two apps - both working off the same sheet).
The agent has to verify steps and click in the app.
I now like the Desktop / Tablet view for my agents as they just need to scroll up and down and stay all the time in Glide (so no extra windows, no separate app).
The user gets a username present as ------- (as they are supposed to be anonymous)
And the Agent gets an Agenrt Code - Agent56772 (so the user can take down their details if they want to)
And it all seems to work!
A quick question, the project you’re doing with self testing at home is somehow very promising especially in the current circumstances. However, I was just wondering if this is something “acceptable” both legally and practically in Germany ? Based on the latest news Ive heard that they always try to control whatever that has to be controlled.
Excellent question! We are working with a healthcare provider in Germany who is responsible for the service. Right now the self-test kits we have can only be used with a doctor’s referral. There are very active discussions to get them approved for home use - and to extend the testing regime to home use too.
The company will not launch without permission though! Worst case, the app never goes live and I will have learned a lot. And have code to use for other projects
Germany is now making it mandatory for companies with workers not at home to offered tests at least once a week. And as of tomorrow, citizens need a negative test to be able to go to a shop (other than supermarket, etc).
So the market for at-home tests with a certificate could be massive very quickly!
Hmmm you’ve put ideas in my head.
