Can someone explain to me why my checklist and toggle/switch button is greyed out and will not allow me to check or switch and how to fix the issue?

Is it attached to a table row?

If you check the “Data” section on the left hand side of the builder, you can confirm if it is or not.

yes! My row owner was off. Thank you. Now the visibility is not allowing me to edit its section. What should I do?

What are your visibility settings?

By the way, visibility settings shouldn’t stop you from editing, only what you can see.
