DocsAutomator Line Items Support (native integration 😎)

Hi, thanks for sharing this.

Am I right in thinking this won’t work on Big Tables, because in Big Tables you cannot join the JSON objects you create at a line item level? I did try to follow your video but ran into this problem.

If so, is there another way line item support can be achieved with data in Big Tables? We need to use Big Tables given the volume of expected data. I did look at the discussion here: Filter data components - #14 but couldn’t identify if it was relevant (very new to Javascript!).

As of two days ago, you can now do this with Big Tables. It may not work with the JSON Object column, but if you manually create the JSON using a Template column, you will be able to use it in a Joined List. One caveat is that the columns that are used in the JSON can only be math, if-then-else, other templates, or any non-computed columns.

The feature is still experimental, and as such can only be enabled via Previews in your Team Settings.

This is excellent news, thanks for pointing it out!

I’ve been using Glide since Friday and I’ve barely put it down. The technology is superb, very powerful - but this is an important development even given my very short history with it.

@Rupert I have a client this week that needs support for bullet lists. Is there a way to generate them yet? Thank you.

Hi @ThinhDinh, adding a dynamic amount of bullets is not possible yet Can you please add the request here: https://docsautomator.canny.io/

Thank you!

Thank you, just added!

@Rupert I figured out the trick.

If you leave your variable like this (without a pre-fix of a bullet).

Then if you format stuff like this.

It will work.
