Date Time entry forced on a Text column

I don’t want to deal with restrictive Date Time input so I set my column simply as text so I can type any string as I wish. In Data Editor, the column is defined as Text, but somehow in Edit Screen/Form, the field is displayed as Date Time and it pops up a calendar/clock for me to choose.

How do I access or modify the Edit screen/form to change the input field back to a text field input?

delete that date picker, and add a text entry…
but if you want to do some math or filtering for that data, I would suggest… keep it in the date format
