It might already have been mentioned, but in the right-hand side panel it might make sense to have a checkbox “Mirror components on add and edit screens” followed by a dropdown menu or radio button “Keep add screen components // Keep edit screen components”.
I would also want the special values and on-submit actions to be kept, if possible.
