What is the definition of “new”?
I created an app earlier this year?
As long as it meets the criteria, you should be fine:
Voila! A game app. I thought I’d use this challenge as an opportunity to create an app to teach kids how to make apps. Although it probably got too complicated to recreate quickly in a class, it shows how versatile glide is (and fun!) The actions do a lot of gatekeeping for allowing actions only when it’s your turn, and only allowing the actions intended to be allowed during that turn. Also the actions create series of actions to several things with one click. The app also has integration for OpenAI to create new card characters. With a brief description, it gives an enhanced, full description, as well as generates an image for the card.
Is there a AFTER date that it needs to be created?
Not that I am aware of, but today is the last day for submissions, so you better be quick if you want to get in.
We’re reviewing all the submissions right now. So many good ones!
THIS IS HARD.
Look out for an announcement later today (or early tomorrow).
Congratulations to our first Community Challenge winners!
I updated the OP with all the details.
We’ll have another challenge starting soon.
Hey @NoCodeAndy and team!
I can’t express how thrilled and grateful I’m for winning the Glide Community Challenge. It’s such a fantastic birthday present!
I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the entire Glide team and the judges for selecting my submission, Mamma mIA. I had a blast working with Glide Actions, OpenAI, and DocsAutomator to create the app. It’s incredible to see how these tools can come together to make something useful and innovative.
I also want to thank you for organizing this challenge and providing a platform for Gliders worldwide to showcase their talents. It was an honor to be a part of it and to witness the amazing projects others created.
I’m truly humbled by this recognition, and I’m excited to continue exploring the possibilities of Glide and its integrations
Also, I want to give a special shoutout to @Robert_Petitto , whose videos have been incredibly helpful in teaching us how to use Glide Actions in a straightforward and easy-to-understand manner. Your tutorials have been instrumental in my learning journey, and I can’t thank you enough for sharing your knowledge with the Glide community.
Once again, thank you all for this amazing opportunity and for making my birthday truly unforgettable!
