Community Challenge: AI in your apps [Winners Announced!] 🤖🧠

I have been trying to build an app w/ChatGPT for this challenge, but keep getting an error

“Send message to ChatGPT (without history): You exceeded your current quota, please check your plan and billing details.”

Yet I have a $20/month account that I have not yet used with Glide, but have interacted with it and know that it works in the browser. I have pasted the API into Glide but keep getting this message.

Has anyone else had this issue?

The Google account that I set up OpenAI under is not the same one I use for Glide and I am wondering if it makes a difference.

Hi! Try this.

@kabookie

Hi Kathy

You need to use the openai ‘API’ to use with glide - register a credit card with them and pay as you go

It seems like you are maybe using Chatgpt instead which is $20 per month. I could be wrong :expressionless:

Tbh I don’t like that conversational bit  I’m not looking for friends, I’m looking for answers

Hey, I think I’ve encountered this when setting up the ChatGPT integration. What I found out was the free credits I had initially with ChatGPT got expired. I added my credit card and it worked. Also please take note that you will have to subscribe to open ai here’s the link - OpenAI Platform. This worked for me so I am hoping it will work for you as well.

I’ve created an AI expense tracker.

No more procrastination )

You just record audio and… magic happens :sparkles:

Developed in just ~16 hours, it’s really impressive to see the concept in mind come alive so quickly.

Yeah it is not ideal, but getting new features by time…

The best part? It’s all NoCode.

A big thanks to Glide

You can check it out here

Well crap, that is exactly what happened, even though I was trying to make sure that I was doing the right thing. Do you pay for both accounts? I’m not excited about two more monthly payments, but I will get the OpenAI one started for a month or two before deciding if I want it.

@kabookie the api I just pay as you go. Last month was $4/month and did have quite a few calls.

@kabookie

As @Krivo mentions it’s not expensive, but the more you use it the more it costs. You can cap your spending limit so you don’t go crazy :stuck_out_tongue:

Wishing you all the best with your project.

Hi there,

Thought I would throw in an app as well.

The idea
This app is used for doing prompts for questions you might have often - or great prompts that you got suggested.

Predefined prompts
I found 10 great ideas for prompts in a LinkedIn post.

One objective could be:
Understand a concept at a basic level or when explaining it to someone with limited knowledge of the subject

and the prompt could be like:
Explain the concept of {subject concept} in simple terms suitable for a {grade level} student

The prompt includes two parameters {subject concept} and {grade level}.
A number of predefined values can be used for those parameters. So instead of finding values for those parameters each time you can choose from a list of values.

Prompt creation
You might want a bit more flexibility but still with a certain structure of the prompt.
In that case you would use the Prompt creation tab.

Here it is possible to input 5 parameters to craft the prompt.

  • Objective of question
  • Who should answer the question
  • Who needs the answer
  • In which tone should be answer be given
  • What is the subject

In this screen a couple of functionalities are available:

  • Copy the prompt
  • Ask the bot
  • Get a summary of prompt and answer
  • Archive the result

Properties
In stead of hardcoding the parameters for ChatGPT then these are made available to the user in the Properties tab.
Further, you can specify which language you will like the answer to appear in

As you might want new or changed values for the parameters these can be changed as well.
In the app you can change possible values of Objective, People and Tone

Summing up
So instead of remembering all your great prompts - then you can just use an app as shown

(Asking the bot is only available for signed-in users - and you cannot sign-in. You can still copy the prompts as non-signed-in user)
