Updates go up very fast

I build a app where I can add candidates. I used a from with a textbox. If I press send then the workflow does a GPT call and put the GPT answer in a new row. In the table I use JSON Query collum to get the answers out of the json that GPT created.

The workflow also opens a new window with the fields so I can check if GPT got the right answers.

This all works fine.

I don’t use the API from glide and only use glide tables. The integration I use would cost me 1 update. Now he calculated 2 and I think 1 for the row.

The problem is that this process cost me around the 8 updates. When he shows me the fields in the second screen and I change a word from Hallo to Hall then it cost me a update. If I use open new window or back he charges me 1 update. Is this normal?

I ask Glide support two days ago but didn’t got a answer. can you guys help me?

In the builder he charges me 1 update for everything. When I use the app in a browser everything i do is a update.

I recommend checking your usage in the “Usage” tab in the bottom left when logged in to the Glide Apps dashboard.

It seems like you’re triggering updates somehow. Either with the GPT workflow you created, or something else.

Also are you using Glide tables?

Please check what Atom suggested you to do. It does look like your AI features are costing a bunch updates.
