Transferring a classic app to a new customer account

Been a while since I’ve checked in so have missed the GlideOS changes.

I have a client that wants to use my app. In the past, they would create an account, add me to their team and I would transfer the app into their account. This process seems to have changed - AI Fin is telling me I cannot transfer a ‘classic’ app into their account.

Can someone please confirm:

  1. Can a new customer still create an account using the Maker plan?
  2. Can I transfer a classic app into their team?

I would say yes and yes.

As far as I’m aware, Apps can be transferred between teams provided that the following criteria are met:

  • both Teams must be paid Teams.
  • the User initiating the transfer must be an Admin in both Teams
  • the App to be transferred cannot be using any high scale data sources (eg. Big Tables)

They need to create a Classic account which is completely separate from GlideOS.

Thanks, but how does one create a Classic account? I’m finding it tricky to find a link that doesn’t route the user to GlideOS. I logged out to test the link myself, and am given the option to log in to Classic as an existing customer, but the sign-up button is for OS:

I might send them an invite to become a team member in my existing Classic account. From there, they could create a new team inside Classic, then subscribe to Maker from there (?). No idea if it will work but can’t hurt to try
