Am I right in thinking this (e.g. simply overlays) isn’t an option in the new App and isn’t just a feature that hasn’t yet made it into the beta?
Correct. Overlays are only available in classic apps for now. If I had to guess I would say it’s on the roadmap for apps/ pages.
