@Mark When I have an optional field with min length 0, I am not able to submit the form with this field blank. I have to, therefore, set the min length to -1 to make it work. [image]

@david @Mark So. Just to add the icing to the cake :cupcake:. Why not “throw in” RegEx support for text fields? Just a simple, optional text value associated with a text field to hold the RegEx string. This would then be checked for match just like min / max. Then we could address all sorts of fie…

Why not just leave it blank for 0? Seems to submit fine if I do that.

It could work fine, but it should also work fine for a blank if the minimum is 0. If the minimum is 0, and there is an issue with blank, I would assume that there would be an issue with a min of 1 and a single character submission too.

Number and phone would be interesting! Use cases: Limit the length for people ID number (using text component people could entry a letter also) Limit the length for phone numbers (in different countries we see different number of characters for phone numbers)

I think for numbers you could still set a technical length by setting your range from 1000000000 to 9999999999 in the case of US phone numbers.
