Submitting Template Screenshots

Hi there.
I am not quite ready to submit a tempate to the template store… but checking the process I noticed that it automatically generates screenshots… the problem for me is all those screenshots are blank with only links at the top to login. What is the way around this? The app cannot be made “public” due to the privacy of certain screens.

If it can’t be made public, why do you want to submit it as a template?

It is a clock in / out terminal (with other features). That many businesses could use… but they would not make it public for anyone to be able to use. With that in mind - it is setup to allow employees to login with a pin number only (not a user pin). Employees can also be associated with a user and can clock in / out as a logged in user. This is good for remote workers etc… but the terminal option would be run on something like an iPad within premises. For that - there is a “device” user that logs in to secure the app.

I will however try to play with the “public” settings to see if that is the cause of not being able to generate screenshots. Would be nice to be able to upload screenshots manually for screens that are not public - dashboards etc.

@AdamMartin - I just tried to submit too and no screenshots are generated. Wondering if this is a bug…

That should work. Currently we have some problems authenticating users during screenshots.

Is it a case of keep trying? Or do we wait for an update?

Public apps will be screenshot, private ones not for now. We have templates which are private, but the screenshots are replaced after submission. If you contact our support team, they can help you with that.
