Slide OS - An “OS” for mini no-code apps

Very innovative idea with the arrows! Nice way to have more than 5 choices on a single row. Your app is coming along nicely!

Wow. This is next level creativity with Glide :star_struck:

Hello @ionamol

Slide OS is fascinating!

About this👇

How can we use Glide Webview?

Cheers!

I tried embedding PayPal, stripe, etc…didn’t work. Security issues I’m sure. I’m gonna keep trying though!

Hi Robert,

In the post by @ionamol showcasing his Slide OS we can see he was successful with PayPal.

That doesn’t appear to be Glide. @ionamol…you haven’t built in paypal donate into Glide, have you?

I think the transaction flow seen is as follows, all of it accessible from within Glide Webview:

1-Starts on a page where a PayPal embedded button/form is located.
2-Then goes to the secure PayPal page
3-And finally returns to the “Payment Successful” page, on the domain where the transaction started.

The secret sauce here seems to be Glide Webview. I’m guessing it’s an iframe like experimental component. But I have no idea how to access Glide Webview.

staging.heyglide.com

Ah ha! So the plot thickens

Thank you Robert. I’ll have a look tomorrow morning with some fresh coffee.

Hi, I tried this link, it asked for access to my google account, but did not let me in. Does glide have staging? That would be super helpful while we create/dev.

Staging is only for testing new features. It’s not for developing your app and moving to production. You do run the risk of having your app in staging deleted or broken. The staging link works just like the regular glide builder, but you have to sign in or create a new account separately. It’s in no way linked to your primary glide account

i tried this app out it is very great BUT there is a bug
in your app if i try to add contacts i get this messge to fill out my profile
i have filled ut everything but if i submit and try again i get a new form to complete my profile

Link doesn’t work

That app was more than 2 years ago, there’s a high chance it was abandoned.
